“Kanzelamt” means something like “Office for sermons”. This initiative is meant to supply German ministers with some fresh input for their theological work.
In order to help German ministers in preparing their sermons we offer them interviews with non-believers and theologians from abroad about the Bible text which the Protestant Church in Germany, the EKD, proposes for that week’s Sunday. We collect comments, associative thoughts, opinions and ideas about the Bible text from three different groups:
We then communicate the collection of these associations and comments to the German ministers through this website.
We are always looking for students, ministers and theologians from abroad who are willing to give a short interview by e-mail about one particular Bible text. In that interview we ask some questions about their understanding of this text within their own context.
We would be very grateful if you’d be willing to take part in this theological adventure. Please let us know and we will send you one particular Bible text with some related questions.
Our e-mail address: hallo@kanzelamt.de
If you happen to know other people who would also be willing to give such an interview, please let him or her know about this initiative! Or let us know!
We hope to hear from you!
Many greetings,
